The ALLOW lamp was created at the beginning of March 2015. It was inspired by the earlier design of the “glass jellyfish” made of glass by means of the fusing method in 2007.

As the glass-fusing technology makes it impossible to bend glass in 3 planes, I came up with an idea to make the “jellyfish” of flexible material i.e. PCV.

It is made of the flexible PCV material which has been stretched over a specially prepared membrane through heating and stretching. Thanks to this, it is possible to create a unique shape of a spatial form.

The textile has enhanced fire resistance, is resistant to water, moisture, chlorine, salt solutions, X-rays, sulfuric acid and nitric acid, washing powders. The material is non-toxic, prevents the growth of fungi, is sterilisable and washable.

The innovative features of the “Allow” lamp are its shape, form, materials used and the configuration of light sources. The lamp is characterised by a remarkable, unique design. It is an innovative solution, consisting in the use of unconventional materials and technological solutions. The advantage of this design is the ability to adjust the intensity and colour of the light to the changing mood and requirements regarding the interior lighting.

The “Allow” lamp is a very functional solution because it allows to adjust the intensity and colour of the light from very warm (2700 K) to cool (6000 K), smoothly or gradually, using a remote control.

The flexible material allows to create a unique shape of the spatial form. The material used may have so-called microperforation thanks to which it may also be sound-absorbing.

The use of the aforementioned material results in the delicacy of the structure, thanks to which the “Allow” lamp, despite its size, is a lightweight and functional product.

Some see it as a round petal bent in one plane and the others – as a wave.

Design of the lamp is a registered industrial design in the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland under the number Wp. 24100 and EUIPO European Union Intellectual Property Office under the numbers 003028893-0001 ,  003028893-0002.
